I made 2 links, one to external wikis, and one to our home pages. If this kind of organization doesn't seem good, please feel free to change it. Jess(Slotwinski) I've put a link there to your music education wiki. I didn't think it made sense to put Gloria's link there, so I just left it. hello everybody.

Created a list of relevant sites for social studies educators. They are group by topic. Hope this can help someone.

Loved the video. What a great way to begin the wiki.
Would anyone be interested in a page with ideas for different age groups? Has anyone used wikis in elementary or even nursery school.? It seems like an easy way to manage links for young ones.
i just started a wiki for my High school Economics class. we are doing an assignment on it this week and are using it for a class calendar as well. unfortunately, editing on safari (mac users) is more cumbersome. has anyone found a way around that ?!?!?

I too am building a wiki, or "learning environment" as part of my work. Right now the content development (working with subject experts) and publisher permissions (waiting to secure permission to core content) is underway, and until this is complete any attempt to develop collaborative aspects of the artifact will likely have to wait (boo hoo).
In the meantime, again in relation to Dewey, whose slim volume I find fascinating [my nightly reading just prior to this class was a monograph on the rise and fall of the American Left, which discussed John Dewey at length], here's another link, from Harper's, Sept 2003.
